Loving God, we come to You,
standing together in faith,
ready to realize the freshness of a bold endeavor,
as we look to the future of our Church.
Building up the Kingdom of God on earth
is Your will and our privilege.
Bless our efforts with the energy and enthusiasm we need.
Jesus, our Redeemer, encourage and guide us.
Open our hearts to be good stewards
because of our love for You.
Holy Spirit, our Sanctifier, empower us
to carry out Your will for the Upon This Rock campaign.
May Your Goodness be upon us,
And give us success to the work of our hands and hearts.
We ask Your blessing now and always
through Christ Our Lord.
Every parish has a unique set of needs and aspirations. Some parishes are in need pf physical repairs or enhancements, while others wish to develop a new program or ministry. Your parish will receive 35% of your contribution to address its particular needs and aspirations. An additional 5% of funds raised will be placed in a permanent Parish Support Endowment, which will provide resources and emergency funding to parishes in need.
The Priests' Advisory Committee will guide and approve individual parish goals using a universal formula based in part on annual offertory collections. As long as a parish has made a good faith effort and has attempted to follow the campaign plan, it will receive 35 cents on every dollar collected, less expenses, even if it does not reach target.
Should a parish exceed its campaign target, it will then receive 55 cents on every dollar raised over its target.
These full campaign stats will be updated by the first Tuesday of every month. Please come back on May 2 to see April's progress!
Each parish is assigned a goal. This parish goal is not an assessment; rather it represents a fair, proportionate share of the diocesan target and is based on parish offertory and Catholic Charities Appeal trends.
To determine each parish target, a parish's three year average offertory income (using fiscal year reporting from 2012-2014) will be divided by the three year average total Diocesan offertory. That number is then multiplied by $105,000,000 to produce Goal A.
The process is then repeated using a parish's three year average for the Catholic Charities Appeal. This will result in Goal B.
Goal A and B are added together and divided by two to produce the final parish goal.
